Customs broker services: Your cargo’s green corridor for border crossing
ServicesFast and accurate handling of customs formalities for import, export, and transit.
In international trade, even a single error in documentation can halt the entire supply chain, resulting in unplanned expenses and cargo downtime. We provide full-service customs procedures—from simple mail shipment declarations to complex commercial cargo clearance for businesses. Whether the goods arrive from a Chinese factory or a US warehouse, we guarantee legally precise processing and efficient communication with the SRS (VID) Customs Board.

Why entrust customs clearance to professionals instead of doing it yourself?
Many entrepreneurs initially attempt to complete customs declarations themselves via the SRS (VID) EDS system or rely on the automated processes of major courier services (DHL/FedEx). However, practice shows that without specific knowledge, this often leads to classification errors, overpaid taxes, or, in the worst-case scenario, detained cargo and administrative fines. That is precisely why we offer expertise that saves costs in the long run.
Cost predictability and savings
Customs duty rates are directly dependent on the correct classification of goods. We perform in-depth research and select the most appropriate code, ensuring correct tax payment. You will receive an accurate calculation of import duties and VAT even before the goods are shipped, thereby completely eliminating unpredictable costs on invoices.
Risk prevention and security
We eliminate the risk of company goods being detained at customs due to improper supporting documentation. This ensures a stable and continuous supply chain, allowing you to focus on your core business operations.
Full independence
Customs services are available from us as a standalone service. You are not required to use our transport for us to handle your documentation. We successfully collaborate with companies that organize their own logistics but entrust the legal side to us.
What procedures and documents do we prepare?
We offer more than just data entry into the system. Our job is to provide a full documentation package that complies with both Latvian and European Union regulations. Our experience working with the EMDAS system allows us to promptly resolve both standard and non-standard situations.
Import and export declarations (IM/EX)
We prepare a full package of declarations for free circulation (import) or the removal of goods (export). This also includes more complex regimes, such as temporary admission, the return of goods (re-export), or warranty repairs. We ensure the correct processing of “Certificates of Origin,” which is critical for obtaining tariff preferences.
Transit procedures (T1) and guarantees
If cargo needs to be moved between customs points within or outside the EU territory without paying taxes immediately, we prepare a transit declaration (T1). This is essential for logistics companies and freight carriers to ensure a continuous flow of cargo to the destination customs office.
Classification of goods and determination of (HS/CN) codes
The assigned code directly determines the applicable customs duty rate and import restrictions. Incorrect classification creates significant financial risks—it can lead to unjustified tax overpayments or, conversely, underpayments followed by penalties from the SRS (VID). We carefully analyze the technical description and composition of the goods to assign the precise Combined Nomenclature code.
E-commerce and postal shipment customs clearance
Fast and efficient import customs declarations for postal and courier shipments (DHL, UPS, etc.). We help private individuals and businesses clear goods from e-commerce platforms (AliExpress, Amazon, eBay) if they have been detained, and we provide consultations on obtaining an EORI number.

In which countries and routes do we have the most experience?
Each region has different requirements for documentation, valuation of goods, and tax application. For the process to run smoothly, general knowledge is not enough—one must be familiar with the export and import nuances of specific countries. We provide in-depth competence in working with the most significant trading partners for Latvian entrepreneurs, preventing errors in supporting documents even before the cargo arrives.
China and Asia (Import)
One of the most strategically significant import routes. Customs for goods from China requires the precise inclusion of transport and insurance costs in the customs value of the goods. We ensure full documentation compliance with international delivery terms (Incoterms: EXW, FOB), thereby eliminating disputes with customs authorities regarding the declared value.
USA and North America
We have extensive experience in the customs clearance of technological equipment, auto spare parts, and commercial cargo from the USA. We are familiar with the specifics of North American export documentation and its alignment with EU requirements, guaranteeing correct tax calculations and accelerated release of goods for free circulation.
Great Britain (UK) and Brexit regulations
Since Great Britain’s withdrawal from the European Union, it has been classified as a third country; therefore, full-scale customs procedures are now required for the flow of goods. We ensure the efficient processing of export and import declarations so that trade processes with partners in Great Britain proceed without interruptions or downtime.
How the customs clearance process works and how much it costs?
We ensure full cost transparency and a fixed price list. Payment for the service is made only for the customs declarations and procedures actually processed, excluding hidden costs or unjustified administration expenses. This approach guarantees precise budget planning and a clear division of responsibility.
Submission of documents
You send us the invoice, packing list, and product description. We verify whether the documents include all mandatory information: the value of the goods, weight, and delivery terms (Incoterms), which determine the inclusion of transport costs in the tax calculation.
Calculation and coordination
We determine the commodity codes, perform a precise tax calculation, and inform you of the total costs (our service fee + state taxes).
Declaration in the system
After coordination, our broker enters the data into the EMDAS system. In the case of standard imports, this usually takes 1–2 working days, while for exports – often just 1 hour.
Release of goods
As soon as customs accepts the declaration and the taxes are paid, the goods receive the “Released” status and can proceed to the recipient without interference.
Costs and Timelines
The price for the service is fixed before the start of work and depends on the complexity of the declaration (number of items), rather than the value of the goods. A standard import procedure takes 1–2 working days, but in urgent cases, we are able to respond on a priority basis.
